It is suggested that the should be an option in CAx Shopping Cartfor downloading Macros in Windows Macroformat ( Aswas available earlier ). Therefore a large no of EPLAN users are not able to use the EDZ files.

The problem is,however this tool has to be downloaded from EPLAN portal.Īlthough the tool is supposed to be free for all Genuine EPLAN users, it cannot be downloaded unless you subscribe to annual software update contracts from EPLAN ( for which they charge huge amounts ). The FAQs following FAQs have been provided to guide users for importing macros in EPLAN format. Siemens EPLAN Macros are now available in EDZ format.
